Taxis from Aruba Airport
Taxis in Aruba charge fixed fares set by the government, so you know the price before you get in. The taxi stand is right outside the arrivals hall.
Fixed fares from the airport
| Destination | Fare (1–4 passengers) |
|---|---|
| Oranjestad | about $26 |
| Eagle Beach hotels | about $37 |
| Palm Beach hotels | about $41 |
| San Nicolas | about $45 |
The fare is per taxi, not per person. The official rates are published by the government on taxi.aw, and licensed taxis display a QR code that links to them.
Surcharges
- Night, Sunday and holidays: a single surcharge of $5 applies between 11 pm and 7 am, all day on Sundays and from 24 December to 1 January.
- Extra passengers: from the fifth passenger a small extra charge per person applies.
- Luggage: one suitcase and one carry-on per passenger are included; extra bags cost about $3 each.

Good to know
- There is no Uber, Lyft or other ride-hailing app in Aruba.
- Only use licensed taxis from the official taxi stand; drivers carry an ID card.
- Agree on the fare before you leave and ask whether the driver accepts cards; US dollars are widely accepted.
- The drive to the Palm Beach hotels takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
